Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Police (PN), through the Santo Antão Regional Command, arrested two male individuals, aged between 20 and 24, suspected of involvement in several robberies recorded between 4 and 10 April, in the city of Porto Novo.
According to a statement from the PN, the suspects were allegedly involved in robberies of commercial establishments, homes and people on public roads. The investigation culminated in their location, approach and identification, resulting in their arrest outside of flagrante delicto, by judicial warrant.
During the operation, the PN seized a machine, allegedly used in one of the robberies at a commercial establishment.
The two individuals were brought before the judicial authorities for the first interrogation. The first detainee was given the most serious coercive measure, preventive detention. The second suspect was released, since the facts he was accused of were not proven.
