Africa-Press – Cape verde. The non-governmental organization SYnergia Portugal is currently supporting sports organizations in the Porto Novo region of Santo Antão with materials collected during a solidarity campaign held in the summer of 2025.
According to Inforpress, this association, which has cooperated with the municipality of Porto Novo for several years, reported that this action is due to the generosity of all those who contributed equipment, thanking URD Juncalense for their involvement in this initiative.
The delivery of the equipment is being carried out by the Porto Alegre city hall and the local coordinator of Synergia, Emerson Melo, “symbolizing the union between the institutions,” explained the same source.
Also in the area of sports, SYnergia recently promoted a football coach training course in Santo Antão, which, according to the organization, was a contribution to the development of sports on the island, where it has also been working with sports initiation schools.
