Africa-Press – Cape verde. About one hundred beneficiaries of the Social Action of the Municipality of Praia are equipped with tools that allow them to manage small businesses, having received their certificates today, within the framework of a training promoted for this purpose.
The closing and delivery of certificates of this training action in small business management, under the project “Building Opportunities”, took place on Friday afternoon, witnessed by the councilor of the Social Action, Fernando Pinto, and the representative of the International Mentors of Cape Verde, Tatiana Rocha, as partner of the project.
Promoted by the bull of Social Action, Administrative Modernization, Youth, Sports and Services Concentrated, the initiative has as its purpose the empowerment of families, aiming at self-sustainability and combating welfare, through training in the areas of small business management, financial education, gender, VBG and sexual crimes, interpersonal and family relationships, among others.
In his intervention of the occasion, the councilor of Social Action, Youth and Sport highlighted “important aspects” of this training that, as he pointed out, will allow long-term objectives, with a view to employability and development of the business.
“In the course of our lives we have ups and downs, but a fundamental aspect for success is to know basic rules, to set personal goals that allow us to achieve short, medium and long term goals,” he eluded, challenging participants to be proactive, know how to manage, plan, calculate profit margin, associated with the principle of the exercise of saving.
“This formation aims to free and make people believe that they are able to carry out their project, add values to life and society, thus breaking the vicious cycle of dependence and care,” he added.
Fernando Pinto concluded, wishing successes to all the participants of the training, mostly women, highlighting, at the same time, the “camera team” in investments at the social level, in different areas.
For her part, and representing the International Mentors of Cape Verde, Tatiana Rocha has epiced the trainees, noting that the whole theory can only work when the acquired knowledge is put into practice.
“To transform our lives. believe we are capable. Work our talents and qualities that God has given us, to have purposes to improve the living conditions of our families. There is no money in the world that can come if our emotional is sick,” he examined, highlighting the mission of Mentors International to help generations around the world out of poverty and achieve self-reliance and prosperity.
Patrícia, one of the beneficiaries, in a nutshell told her struggles and difficulties, aiming to be a “great entrepreneur”.
“I would knock on people’s door asking for help, but today I have my own business, my small business. And my goal is to become a great entrepreneur. Believe in ourselves, because we are capable. It is to have claws and determination,” he challenged his colleagues.
