Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Movement for Democracy (MpD), led by Francisco Tavares, will concentrate its actions this morning in the town of Nova Sintra and its surroundings, heading to Furna in the afternoon.
The candidate of the African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde (PAICV), Amândio Brito, will focus his agenda on the area of Lém, Lugarinho and Ponta Baixo, also visiting residents and listening to their concerns.
Door-to-door campaigns have been one of the candidates’ main strategies to strengthen their connection with the population and present their proposals for these ninth municipal elections in the country.
On Brava Island, Amândio Brito (PAICV) and Francisco Tavares (MpD) are running for mayor.
In the 2020 elections, the MpD won 14 municipal chambers, while the PAICV dominated in eight.
