Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Bons Amigos Association is promoting a castration and deworming campaign for the canine population from the 26th to the 31st of this month, in Brava, in partnership with other institutions.
The information was given today to Inforpress by the Biflores Association technician Vany Furtado, who highlighted being a partner in this campaign, together with the Brava City Hall and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
According to the same source, the campaign aims to promote animal welfare and public health, helping to reduce the number of unwanted litters and prevent abandonment.
The technician also informed that the campaign will take place in different locations on the island, namely Lomba Tantum, Nossa Senhora do Monte, Nova Sintra and Furna.
“Street animals will also be captured, castrated and returned to their place of origin, with all necessary care,” he concluded.
