The certificate was delivered this Wednesday, March 1, to the chairman of the board of directors of Correios, Isidoro Gomes, in Bern, Switzerland.
The improvement of security routines in the operational centers and the prioritization of investments were the factors that, according to the organisation, earned Correios de Cabo Verde an award.
“After all, the state-owned company was recognized for its compliance with the S58 and S59 standards, issued by the UPU — which deal with general postal security measures to be observed by logistics operators around the world,” acknowledged the institution, quoted by Inforpress.

He also highlighted the investments made both in infrastructure, both in the logistics chain and in the improvement of security procedures in the customer service and operational units, with emphasis on the centers for handling letters, parcels, air terminals and international centers.
