Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Praia District Court ordered the periodic presentation to the authorities and the ban on leaving the country as coercive measures for the seven individuals arrested for drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons during an operation by the Judicial Police (PJ) in the Achadinha neighborhood.
According to the PJ today, the operation, carried out by the Central Section for Investigation of Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime (SCITECO), resulted in the seizure of 508,127 escudos, in addition to drugs, weapons, ammunition and electronic equipment.
The suspects, four women and three men, aged between 23 and 43, were arrested in flagrante delicto for crimes related to high-risk drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons and money laundering.
During the operation, the PJ seized 217.625 grams of cocaine, two pistols, ammunition of different calibers and materials used in the packaging of narcotics.
