Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Institute of Statistics (INE) reported on Thursday that gross domestic product (GDP) recorded a positive change of 13.2% in turnover, which resulted from an increase in final consumption and exports.

According to the data reported by the INE, on the supply side, the Gross Added Value (GAV) at basic prices showed a positive annual evolution of 12.6%, highlighting for this purpose the activities of the manufacturing industries, electricity and water, housing and catering, business services and Public Administration.

Net subsidy taxes showed a positive annual evolution of 17.2%, while the cumulative change rate for the four quarters of 2021 points to annual GDP growth of 7.0% in turnover.

According to the INE report, final consumption had a positive annual change of 28.1%, in the fourth quarter of 2021 (22.6% in the previous quarter), private consumption increased 27.5% in real terms in the same period (16.2% in the 3rd quarter), and in turn, public consumption showed a positive annual change rate of 29.9%, in turnover, (43.7% in the previous quarter).
