According to information published in the Official Gazette of the Union on Tuesday, 26, children aged between four and five will receive 2,500 cruises, from six to ten years old, the beneficiary receives 3,000 cruises, from 11 to 15 years old The amount of R$ 3,500 reais will be allocated, and teenagers aged 16 to 18 will receive R$ 4,000 reais.
Back-to-school assistance, he asserted, continues to be recognized for beneficiaries over the age of 18 as long as they can prove they have attended secondary school.
According to the Government, the Mandatory Social Protection system must be open to promoting necessary updates within the scope of the benefits granted with a view to protecting the eventualities covered, observing the relationship between the cost of living, the country’s conditions and its balance financial.
Based on this assumption, he explained, with the approval of decree-law 51/2024, of October 18, the expansion of the material field of application of the branch of family benefits was formalized, including the return-to-school allowance, a pecuniary benefit which aims to mitigate the financial burden of family expenses at the beginning of the school year.
As stated, for the purposes of defining the amount to be allocated, reference must be made to the age the beneficiary reaches by December 31st of the year in which the benefit is processed.
In the Council of Ministers at the beginning of September, the inclusion of the subsidy was approved through the amendment to the legislation that regulates the Bases of Application of the Social Protection System for employees.
This law also establishes breastfeeding allowances, disability allowances, funeral allowances and also the granting of family benefits.
The subsidy is intended for beneficiaries of the Mandatory Social Protection System, that is, for those who have the INPS, who are registered or who have children or similar beneficiaries of these benefits.
The amount will be allocated every September, at the beginning of the school year.
