Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Maritime and Port Institute (IMP) issued a safety notice today stating that local fishing vessels, dinghies, and small open-mouth boats are prohibited from going out to sea.
According to the IMP, this measure will remain in effect as long as current weather conditions persist.
It is worth noting that forecasts from the National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INMG) indicate continued rainfall of varying intensity across all islands during the morning and early afternoon of this Monday.
The INMG also warns of worsening sea conditions, with waves from the south that could reach 3 to 4 meters, especially affecting the southern coastal areas of the Sotavento Islands and Boa Vista Island.
