The National Institute of Social Security (INPS) announced today the temporary closure of the Social Security Units (UPS) in Praça Nova and Monte Sossego, on the island of São Vicente, following heavy rains in the region and the declaration of a state of emergency. Despite the suspension of in-person services, beneficiaries, taxpayers, and the general public can access the online services available on the INPS Portal.
In a statement, the institution announced that, through the digital platform, it is possible to submit declaration requests, submit pay slips, check benefits, and other services.
INPS assured that the units will reopen as soon as possible and expressed its full solidarity with the people of São Vicente.
