Mário Margarito Gomes appointed as the next PCA of the Civil Aviation Agency

Africa-Press – Cape verde. Abraão Lima, current PCA of the Civil Aviation Agency (AAC), ends his term and Mário Margarito, current President of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Prevention and Research of Aeronautical and Maritime Accidents (IPIAAM), should be his successor. Hearing was scheduled for today but was postponed.

The hearing was scheduled for today, but ended up being postponed due to a lack of quorum in the joint committee that was supposed to hear Mário Margarito.

A parliamentary source explained to Expresso das Ilhas that the PAICV deputies claimed that they were visiting their respective constituencies so as not to be present at the joint meeting of the 1st and 3rd Specialized Commission.

The hearing is now scheduled for March 11th.

Mário Margarito is a member of the Civil Aviation Agency and has served, since 2019, as President of the IPIAAM Board of Directors. Margarito, if his appointment is approved, should succeed Abraão Lima in the position of PCA of the AAC.

Abraão Lima has been at AAC since 2019 and his term has already ended.
