Africa-Press – Cape verde. Mirko Marcolin, a specialist in the fisheries sector, died in Mindelo, early this morning at the hotel where he was staying.
The Ministry of the Sea has already reacted to the death of Mirko Marcolin.
In a statement, the ministry explained that Marcolin had arrived in Mindelo yesterday afternoon “to take part in the work of the Joint Commission between Cape Verde and the European Union, on the Fisheries Agreement”.
“His death therefore represents a huge loss for the European Union, a very important institution in relations with our country, and for the Joint Commission itself, which has lost a very important element in the negotiations”, lamented the Minister of the Sea, Jorge Santos, in the same statement.
