Africa-Press – Cape verde. The IX Edition of the Fogo Coffee Festival, in Mosteiros, has already started. The initiative, promoted by the Câmara Municipal dos Mosteiros, is scheduled for 14, 15 and 16 April. The municipality has already planned the agenda of cultural events until the end of the year, in the first meeting of this year.
According to the municipality’s website, the three-day date of the event was approved at the first meeting of the Chamber of 2023, where the entire cultural agenda of the municipality for this year was also established.
The Coffee Festival, which attracts countless people from other municipalities in Fogo and also from other islands, joins from the 24th to the 27th of May, the III Semana de África and on the 16th of June, the MONTI – Municipal Children’s Theater Exhibition.

Afterwards, the 3rd Edition of the Talaia Baxu Gala is scheduled for the 22nd of June. Intangible Cultural Heritage of Municipal Interest, since December 14, 2022.
Even on the 1st of February, the National Day of Talaia Baxu is celebrated, with various activities.
In addition to these events, there is also the Urban Art Festival, from the 8th to the 9th of July, and then, from the 11th to the 15th of August, the Municipal Festivities take place, culminating in the 28th Edition of the Lantcha Beach Festival.
Throughout the year there are still several planned initiatives such as the Rhythm and Poetry Contest and the Todo o Mundo Canta – Kids contest, among others.
