PAICV/North Santiago: Political Commission promises “very demanding positioning” for development of the region

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The president of the PAICV Regional Political Commission in North Santiago (CPRSN) said the Commission will have, in the coming years, a “very demanding position” on the measures and policies structuring for the development of the region.

Carla Carvalho made these statements in an interview with Inforpress, following the meeting the Commission to pronounce on the political strategy for the region for the next three years and discuss the activities plan and the budget for 2022, held at the Amílcar Cabral High School, in the city of Assomada.

According to this responsible, North Santiago is one of the largest regions of the country with great potential in the fields of agriculture, livestock, fishing and tourism, which, in her view, are “important” and strategic sectors in the development process of the region and Cabo Verde.

“We consider at the meeting that Cabo Verde will only develop on the day we can see the North Santiago development, so it is in this sense the new team proposes the combination of the party structures synergies to collaborate all together and with eyes on the future we can build a strong and united PAICV so that we can have new opportunities in North Santiago”, she said.
