Africa-Press – Cape verde. Transinsular, a company of the ETE Group, announced today that it will introduce the Ponta do Sol vessel on the Portugal – Cape Verde international maritime route, operated by the Cabo Verde Expresso service, next Thursday, the 23rd.

According to a note from the company sent to Inforpress, the Ponta do Sol vessel, with a Cape Verdean flag and crew, will join the Lagoa vessel to reinforce and increase the capacity of the Cabo Verde Expresso service to a total of 420 container units.

With this new offering, he added, now called the Cabo Verde Expresso 2.0 service, Transinsular is thus reinforcing its transport capacity on regular and direct maritime connections from Portugal to Cape Verde (Praia, Mindelo, Sal and Boa Vista).

“It continues to meet the best transit time on the market at an international level and to ensure regular and efficient inter-island distribution in the archipelago”, highlighted the same source.

In other words, he clarified, in addition to the capacity to transport 420 container units, including project cargo and general cargo units up to 65 tons, the ship will connect Cape Verde with Portugal in just six days and will have its own agencies and specialized teams in the main ports of Cape Verde.
