The tourist unit, which represents an investment of 1.5 million euros, belongs to the investor Marcel Schild, from the Netherlands and is “an old wish” of this entrepreneur.
Up and running in 2023
The tourist unit will be operating during 2023 with international competitions, according to the same businessman.
Porto Novo, with potential in terms of sun and beach tourism, is taking its first steps in promoting water sports, thus diversifying its tourist offer.
In addition to tourism, other economic sectors have been highly coveted by external investors, and there are already concrete projects in the areas of industrial agriculture, renewable energy and water desalination.
