
Africa-Press – Cape verde. The “King of Morna”, Bana (Adriano Gonçalves), who was born on March 5, 1932, in Mindelo, São Vicente island, if he were alive, he would be 91 years old and in Lisbon his date has not been forgotten.
To mark the occasion, the Cape Verde Embassy in Portugal and the Cape Verde Cultural Center (CCCV), in Lisbon, promoted this afternoon, Saturday 4, a cultural and musical session called “Evocation of Bana – on the 91st anniversary of his birth, in the year that marks the 10th anniversary of his death”.
With the participation of Humberto Ramos and other guests, the CCCV was filled with a group of people who loved Bana, such as musicians, singers and admirers who came together to evoke the life of Adriano Gonçalves and his music.
The moment was for sharing testimonies and Bana songs, in an initiative carried out in partnership with Humberto Ramos, a musician well known to the Cape Verdean public throughout the diaspora.
