Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Praia Gymnastics Club (Gymnart) will hold the 31st edition of the “Patinho Feio” rhythmic gymnastics tournament next Saturday, the 17th, an event that is seen as a symbolic and special moment for the youngest athletes.
According to a note sent to Inforpress, the tournament will be held at Gimno Desportivo Vává Duarte, in Praia, and will be open to the public upon purchase of tickets, with symbolic prices of 200 escudos for children and 300 escudos for adults.
“More than a competition, ‘Patinho Feio’ is a celebration of the growth and transformation of young athletes, inspired by the well-known story of Hans Christian Andersen,” says the note.
According to the same source, cited by Inforpress, this is, year after year, the most anticipated moment for young gymnasts, their families and the local community: an afternoon of emotion, art and inspiration, where each movement tells a story of overcoming.
