Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Africa 70 Community Center, in Sal, won a canteen to guarantee a hot meal, daily, to 50 children from that socio-educational project, whose inauguration was witnessed today by the Minister of Family, Inclusion and Development Social, Fernando Elisio Freire.
According to Fernando Elísio Freire, also Minister of State, the space designed for this purpose, equipped with a stove, pans and other utensils, to ensure a hot meal for children, is an “extremely important” investment in promoting the dignity of the human person.
“Everyone has the right to food, education, health, electricity, water, sanitation, housing… Economic growth, as strong and robust as it is, sometimes leaves some behind, and we have to be able to intervene where necessary”, he referred.
And here, he added, the Municipality of Sal is “doing very well”, in creating this support network for families with more vulnerability, promoting actions that allow everyone to live with a minimum of dignity.
