Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, urged young people to have more confidence in themselves and in the country and to work so that their dreams can come true.
“Young people must have confidence in themselves; have confidence in Cape Verde, dream and work to make their dreams come true. Everything is possible as long as there is a lot of work – nothing happens by chance – and we are in a more complex, more difficult world and it is necessary for every young person to be prepared, able to respond to the challenges of today’s times”, he stated.
The Head of State was speaking to journalists after an “open conversation” with 12th grade students from Amílcar Cabral High School (LAC) in Assomada, Santa Catarina, where he shared his life story as a student, who was always concerned with his studies and development of Cape Verde.
The nation’s highest magistrate, who is godfather to the finalists of the LAC 2022/2023 students, said that the message he left them is “to study, study and study always to be able to have the conditions and the toolbox to be able to face today ́s times”.
