Africa-Press – Cape verde. The municipality of Santa Cruz experienced another “memorable” edition of the Areia Grande Festival, which concluded its 31st edition today with contagious shows and a crowd of “passionate fans”.

The event, organized by the group Falucho and featuring two simultaneous stages, highlighted the musical diversity and cultural richness of Cape Verde, also celebrating the festivities of its patron saint, Saint James the Greater.

The second day of the festival began after midnight, with local talent, followed by a series of performances that enchanted the audience.

César Sanches, son of Santa Cruz, already with a consolidated career, opened the program with a performance filled with emotion and pride, demonstrating why he is considered one of the “promising” talents of the country’s new musical generation.

Kino Cabral further elevated the musical event with his vibrant stage presence and highlighted the passion he feels for the Areia Grande audience.

The night continued with Mika Mendes, Yasmine, the only woman in the day’s lineup, Tony Fika, Elji Beatzkilla, and the group Ferro Gaita, who closed the festival with a performance full of soul, authenticity, and joy, reviving the country’s cultural roots.

The event’s success was reflected in the public’s “positive feedback,” which praised the artists’ involvement, civility, and security at the venue.

The festival, which featured two stages, one for artists and the other dedicated to DJs, expanded the diversity of musical styles.
