Africa-Press – Cape verde. The presentation and launch of the project for the Tourist and Environmental Village of Mato Dento, belonging to São Salvador do Mundo, Santiago, will take place this Monday, 20th, in Leitão Grande, in the aforementioned municipality, from 10 am. the ceremony is chaired by Carlos Santos Minister of Tourism.

The Mato Dento Tourist and Environmental Village project, which will involve the entire area, is funded by the Tourism Fund. It encompasses the requalification of housing, landscaping, improved sanitation, basic and tourist infrastructure, training actions, environmental awareness and business promotion.

The project was launched by the Minister of Tourism and Transport, Carlos Santos, who on the same day also launched the Miradouro Alto Babosa project and presented the requalification project for Chã de Rodrigues, both in the municipality of São Salvador do Mundo.

On the same day, in the morning, a Program Contract will be signed between the Ministry of Tourism and Transport and the Municipality of São Salvador do Mundo, aiming, according to the guardianship, a “more fluid dialogue between the local authority and the Office of Zones Tourism Development (ZDTI) of the Ministry of Tourism and Transport”.

Tourism Operational Plate presented in Santa Catarina

In the afternoon Carlos Santos also has a full agenda, this time in the Municipality of Santa Catarina de Santiago (Assomada), to preside over the presentation ceremony of the “Strategic Marketing Plan for Tourism in Cape Verde”, “Master Plan of Tourism”, “Tourism Operational Plan (Projects of the Program and Subprogram for the Promotion of the Tourism Product”.

On the same occasion, a workshop will be held on the promotion and marketing of the ZDTI and its tourism planning plans for the discussion and sharing of studies carried out on this matter, of the POT approved in the ZDTI on the island of Santiago, as well as Alto Mira and Rincão .
