Africa-Press – Cape verde. The chairman of the board of directors (PCA) of TACV/Cabo Verde Airlines (CVA) today confirmed her interest in resuming flights to Bissau, ten years after its suspension. There is also the intention of returning to other destinations in Africa .
“We are preparing the recovery in several destinations. Bissau is one of the destinations that Cabo Verde Airlines intends to operate. At the moment we are listening to Bissau-Guinean entities to resume flights”, said Sara Pires, in statements to the press, on the sidelines of a meeting held with travel agencies in the city of Praia to talk about the company’s commercial strategy and also appeal to the travel agencies to sell the CVA product.
Asked whether the CVA has its eyes on other African destinations, the PCA replied that it is working in that direction, but does not want to disclose it right now, so “when it is opportune”, they will disclose the destinations where they want to operate.

“We therefore received an order. There were already air connections between Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau. It was suspended, but we are open for the Cape Verde airline to resume that route”, announced that official in a statement to the press, after a visit he made to the Data Center facilities, in Achada Grande Frente, when of your visit to Cape Verde.
Nuno Gomes Nabian also said that he had met the Guinean Minister of Transport and that he had given instructions for that process to move forward, so he believes that “within a short time” this link between Cape Verde and Bissau will be established again.
“Guinea-Bissau is therefore thinking about creating an airline. It is a long process and we know the contours of the creation of the company, but in the meantime, this does not prevent the Cape Verdean company from actually starting to fly to our country ”, he concluded.
