Africa-Press – Cape verde. The City Hall of Tarrafal, in the countryside of Santiago, holds the Africa Week from May 25 to 31 to celebrate the African continent diversity and richness, whose event is marked annually on May 25.

According to the City Hall of Tarrafal, for a week the fine arts, music, dance, cinema, fashion, gastronomy and traditions from the Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe will be shared with the Tarrafal citizens and all who visit this municipality.

The week of exchange and cultural enrichment in Tarrafal, promoted in partnership with the Embassy of the Congo in Dakar and the Embassy of Senegal in Praia, begins on the 25th, Africa Day, with the opening of the exhibition of fine arts and the Bantu Caravan, in the Craft and Culture Market.

The program includes “history and culture of the Republic of the Congo, by the French Language Club at the Tarrafal High School (EST), study visit with EST students to the exhibition space with clarification session, organized by the Platform of the Immigrant Communities of Tarrafal and a film/documentary session (May 26).
