Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean athlete Nancy Moreira lost to the athlete from Kazakhstan, thus failing access to the semi-finals and the chance to fight for a place on the podium. Even so, among the 31 athletes in competition, she was in an honorable 5th place and guarantees that she will continue to “work even harder”.

“And another great adventure in my career comes to an end”, was how the athlete announced on social media, the end of her tour of the Boxing World Cup which runs until March 27 in India.

After two consecutive victories, against opponents from Botswana and Mongolia, Nancy today lost her passport to the semi-finals against the athlete from Kazakhstan.

“Unfortunately it didn’t bring the victory, which in my opinion was a little unfair, in the first and third round I think I won. But none of that matters now, as the decision has already been made. It remains for me to thank everyone who supports me daily to make my dream come true. I will continue to work even harder… Out of 31 athletes I was in 5th place. I’m proud but never satisfied. I hope I have honored my country. You can be sure that you got to know Cape Verde”, wrote the athlete.
