Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Salesian Past Pupils Association of Swaziland (SAPPAS) is delighted to announce its annual Salesian Golf Day, a fundraising event scheduled for Friday, 23rd May 2025, at the scenic Ezulwini Golf & Country Club.
This year’s Golf Day will be played in the Scramble Drive Better Ball format and promises a day filled with fun, networking, and community support. All proceeds will benefit SAPPAS’s ongoing efforts to upgrade the infrastructure of the Salesian schools, aiming to enhance the quality of education for future generations.
Patrick Gamedze, Chair of the SAPPAS Organising Committee, expressed his enthusiasm and pride in hosting this significant event next week.
“We are thrilled to organise this year’s Salesian Golf Day. We invite all golf clubs, corporate entities, and individuals to join us in this noble cause,” Gamedze stated.
The event has garnered support from some of the nation’s top corporate partners. Phoenix of Swaziland Assurance Company Limited and the Public Service Pension Fund are the Gold Sponsors, while Eswatini Post and Telecommunication Corporation and Autofin Ford Eswatini are proudly supporting as Hole Sponsors. Their contributions reflect a shared commitment to educational development and community upliftment.
Desmond Maphanga, SAPPAS Chairman, emphasised, “This is more than just a golf event; it’s a celebration of giving back, reconnecting, and building a brighter future for our Salesian students.”
The day will see participation from numerous business and community leaders from Eswatini and South Africa, many of whom are alumni of the Salesian schools, all coming together for a meaningful cause.
