Africa-Press – Eswatini. If you’ve ever felt confused, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained by a relationship, you’re not alone. Next Saturday, 31 May 2025, the Mbabane Theatre Club will be the stage for a ground-breaking event aimed at young people who want to make smarter, healthier choices in their romantic lives.
The Navigating Healthy Relationships event, hosted by Blueprint Transformations, will kick off off at 10 a.m., offering a day full of real talk and life-changing insights.
The event targets youth between 16 and 35—a generation grappling with the mental and emotional toll of romance. Organizers aim to address these concerns head-on, encouraging a shift from harmful relationship patterns to more empowered and self-aware connections.
“So many young people are struggling because they’re trying to navigate relationships with little guidance,” says Bongiwe Tengetile Gina, Marketing Manager at Blueprint. “We’re here to change that, to help them understand what a healthy relationship looks like, and empower them to make better choices for themselves.”
Under the theme “Navigating Healthy Relationships”, the event will shine a light on not just the physical, but also the emotional, mental, and social components of love and partnership. It’s a much-needed deep dive into how we approach dating, self-worth, and emotional well-being.
“Health is more than the body,” Gina explains. “It’s about how we think, feel, and connect. Emotional pain can be just as dangerous as physical pain, and that’s why we’re tackling these tough issues.”
P. Dlamini, a well-known expert in leadership, personal development, and career coaching, will deliver the keynote address. With his comprehensive approach to growth, Dlamini will offer young people practical tools to improve not just their romantic relationships but their entire approach to life.
“He’s not just offering advice,” says Gina. “He’s empowering the youth with skills to not just survive, but thrive.”
Adding a touch of flair, the event will be MC’d by Banele WJLM, a dynamic figure in the youth entertainment scene. Banele is famous for his engaging, high-energy hosting, and will surely keep the crowd pumped up and focused.
Real Issues, Real Conversations
This isn’t just another relationship workshop—it’s a raw, honest conversation about the topics that young people often struggle to talk about:
How emotional maturity affects dating, especially among young women
The pressure of societal expectations and suggestive clothing in relationships
The mental health impact of unrealistic relationship goals
The rise in suicides and violence linked to failed romantic engagements
Tickets are limited and available for E20.00 and can be purchased at the Blueprint office: Oribi Court, Office No. 1, Gwamile Street, Mbabane
Tickets will also be sold at the gate.
