Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini’s rich cultural legacy and ambitious future vision took centre stage at Expo 2025 in Osaka as the nation celebrated its National Day on June 3, 2025. Speaking on behalf of His Majesty King Mswati III, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini delivered a rousing address that highlighted the Kingdom’s steady progress, cultural strength, and global aspirations.
Graciously hosted by the Japanese Government and the Expo 2025 Organizing Committee, Eswatini’s participation at the world-class exposition is a powerful affirmation of its growing presence on the international stage.
“Expo 2025 affords our nation a unique platform to share our socio-economic progress, vibrant cultural heritage, and expanding business opportunities,” said Dlamini. “We are profoundly grateful for the invitation to showcase what makes Eswatini unique.”
The Eswatini Pavilion, themed “Our History Defines Our Future Society: Originality – Heritage – Future”, reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to innovation anchored in tradition. Visitors to the pavilion experience the authentic spirit of Eswatini, from traditional artistry to forward-thinking initiatives in digital connectivity and sustainability.
Highlighting the enduring friendship between Eswatini and Japan, the premier acknowledged Japan’s significant role in Eswatini’s development journey. “From agriculture to education, Japan has been a steadfast partner in helping us meet our Sustainable Development Goals,” he said.
One of the key messages of the day was the “Nkwe Clarion Call”—Eswatini’s national rallying cry for agility, efficiency, and excellence in public service. “Nkwe,” which means “run” in siSwati, captures the urgency and determination behind the nation’s transformative reforms.
Dlamini encouraged the Eswatini delegation to use Expo 2025 as a launchpad for building new partnerships. “Whether through joint research, youth entrepreneurship or health innovation, let us seize every opportunity to work with the world in shaping a better tomorrow,” he urged.
In closing, the PM conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the Japanese hosts and all international participants. “May Expo 2025 be a beacon of creativity and cooperation, inspiring partnerships that endure long after it closes,” he said.
As Expo 2025 continues, Eswatini’s message is clear: rooted in heritage, driven by innovation, and committed to a sustainable and inclusive future, for its people and for the world.
