Africa-Press – Eswatini. Lutfo Dlamini, the former Minister of Enterprise and Employment managed to organize former Members of Parliament(MPs) to come together and, establish an Agricultural Drone Spraying Company, the project will assist the erstwhile Legislators earn a living.
Tintfungo Consortium situated in Tshaneni in the Lubombo Region has been established to assist farmers particularly, in the sugarcane industry, with technological spraying services thus reducing exposure to harmful pesticides.
Reached for comments, the former Ndzingeni MP confirmed the establishment of the company adding that, “it has been collectively established” by former MPs.
“It’s a company for former MPs and we are working towards ensuring that, MPs earn a living after politics. But you can contact former Madlangemphisi MP Scorpion Nxumalo, he will share more details,” he said.
Efforts to seek a comment from former MP Scorpion Nxumalo proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
Agricultural drone spraying is the use of technology to apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers with greater precision, speed, and efficiency than traditional methods. The founding members of Tintfungo Consortium also include former MPs with experience in agriculture and/or sugarcane farming.
