Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini is preparing for the upcoming Youth Olympic Games in Dakar 2026, as the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) Treasurer Zakhele Zulu participates in the Chef de Mission Seminar in Senegal.
The seminar, taking place from 9-11 April 2026, brings together representatives from National Olympic Committees around the world to prepare for the upcoming Youth Olympic Games.
The gathering forms part of international Olympic planning ahead of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, focusing on strengthening coordination, logistics, and operational readiness among participating countries for the global sporting event.
In this role, Zulu is responsible for overseeing team coordination, athlete participation, accreditation processes, and logistical arrangements to ensure smooth and effective preparation for the Games.
The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games will be the first Olympic event to be hosted in Africa, marking a historic milestone for the continent and providing young athletes with a global platform to showcase their talent.
About 2700 athletes from across the world are expected to participate, making the event a major opportunity for youth development, cultural exchange, and sporting excellence.
The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association continues to strengthen the country’s sports development structures through active engagement in international Olympic programmes and structured preparation for global competitions.
