Africa-Press – Eswatini. ESWATINI recorded 46 new cases of COVID-19.
This was confirmed through a press statement issued by Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi yesterday evening.
The 46 cases were from 435 tests conducted.
On Wednesday 37 new cases from 512 tests were recorded.
The Lubombo region recorded the highest number of cases yesterday with 17 and all had mild symptoms of COVID-19.
Manzini region recorded the second highest number of cases with 13. Eleven of them had mild symptoms while two were asymptomatic. Overall, the Manzini region has the highest number of cases compared to the four regions with 24 877.
The minister further announced 10 cases from the Hhohho region.
Six cases from the Shiselweni region were also recorded yesterday.
Increased
Overall, the country has recorded 70 190 cases of COVID-19.
The minister also announced that active cases increased to 89. Only two people were admitted yesterday while the other 87 were under home care.
The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 has risen to 68 706 after 22 recorded yesterday.
The total number of COVID-19 related fatalities is at 1 395.
