Africa-Press – Eswatini. With the MTN Premier League grand finale only one day away, soccer fans will be scrambling to get their hands on the hottest tickets in town, ahead of the mouth-watering clashes.
7 000 tickets will be sold for both the Mbabane and forces derbies to be played tomorrow at Mavuso Sports Centre and Ka-Langa Stadium, respectively.
There are 5 000 tickets up for grabs in the titanic battle between the capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders and Mbabane Swallows, which is expected to enthrall fans with 2 000 tickets available for the forces derby between log leaders Royal Leopard and bitter rivals Young Buffaloes.
This was announced by Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Chief Operations Officer (COO) Pat Vilakati during the PLE SMS voting initiative launch held at Sigwaca House yesterday.
The COO said they had limited tickets and those who managed to secure theirs on time would be able to get them. He also shared what the price for the tickets would be.
“It’s going to be a first come first serve situation when it comes to the grand finale tickets that will each be sold at E30. No accreditation, no entry. Fans should not lose their tickets as tickets will be scanned when you get in and out of the stadium,” he said.
Vilakati also revealed that fans would be treated to a trophy parade at both venues with the league title to be decided on the day.
“We will have a trophy parade at Mavuso and Ka-Langa Stadium as well as entertainment at both venues. We urge teams to accept any results and no fans should be allowed on the pitch. Failure to abide by the rules will result in fines,” he said.
Coming to the seating arrangements at Mavuso Sports Centre, ‘Bull’ fans will sit at the stand opposite Manzini Central while ‘Birds’ supporters will sit in the main stand.
