In a recent Portfolio Committee Session, chaired by MP Sicelo Khungankosi Dlamini, the Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development revealed that there are currently 70 vacant posts that need to be filled and that they have already been declared to the Ministry of Public Service.

Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini informed the committee that while progress has been made in filling some of these positions,

there are concerns about the pace at which recruitment is moving.According to Minister Dlamini, the Ministry has successfully recruited and deployed 5 Tinkhundla secretaries to help address the staffing gaps.

However, he acknowledged that the overall recruitment process has not been as swift as desired, leading to a significant number of vacancies remaining.

The disclosure of the ongoing challenges in filling these crucial positions within the Ministry has raised concerns among both committee members and the public at large.
