Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Zakhele Hall, recently played host to a vibrant and energetic dance competition, as part of The Special Olympics. The event brought together students from various schools, showcasing their impressive athletic skills in a variety of categories.

The event was a resounding success, celebrating the joy of dance and promoting inclusivity among students with special needs. The event brought together students from various special schools such as Qiniswen, school for the deaf, Mbasheni, and Ntuthukeni Primary schools, providing a platform for them to showcase their impressive athletic skills in a variety of categories, including African dance, traditional dance, solo, and douple dances.

The atmosphere was electric, with students and spectators alike reveling in the excitement of the event. The best performers were rewarded for their hard work and talent, receiving amazing awards such as trophies and medals. Special Olympics organizers appreciated the great talent and participants for their attendance.

Speaking to this publication Ntombi Nkambule, the national director of special Olympics has expressed joy and appreciation for the success and amazing attendance of the athletes. “The dance competition was a resounding success and we are proud of the event. She said.

“We extend sincere gratitude to the participants and teachers who helped bring this event of talent, diversity and unity to life. Events like this are more than performance, inclusion and empowerment, helping to break down barriers and change perceptions about people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.” Added Nkhambule.
