Africa-Press – Eswatini. The statistics of missing persons has taken an alarming turn, with eight people reported missing in the past week and a half.

Among these cases, two children have gone missing and the details of these cases are still being investigated, and the public is urged to come forward with any information that may be relevant in located them. Khethokuhle Sikhondze (12) and Nokwanda Malinga (16) went missing after they reportedly went to school at Excelsiors Pre and Primary on Monday morning but ended up not making it there. It is said the two friends were last seen at Mathangeni where they reside. According to Khethokuhle’s relative, she and her friend were believed to have missed their transport and opted to walk. She said they later discovered that the two never got to school. The matter was then reported to the police.

This publication also reported of a two-year-old toddler who mysteriously disappeared at Madulini in Nhlangano, who was later discovered dead. Cebolenkhosi Mkhwanazi was reportedly found hanging in a community garden owned by his grandmother and other community members, and his death was confirmed by his mother, Thandiwe Mkhwanazi. This is after her son went missing on Saturday (October 28). It is suspected that little Cebo was abducted. On Saturday, our sister publication, Eswatini News, narrated how a police officer stationed at Bulembu Police Post was found dead in a forest at Nsangwini last Thursday, after he had gone missing for a few days and did not show up at work. The officer, Dumisani Duncan Dlamini, reportedly had his family members and superiors worried after missing for a few days.

On Monday, it was reported that a Mozambican man was found dead inside his car at Hlatikhulu Bus Rank on Saturday, after he went missing in Matsapha, where he reportedly resided. It was reported that he had gone to Hlatikhulu to work for a timber firm, and relocated there. The deceased was said to have suffered from asthma and was diabetic. Last Monday, Phiwayinkhosi Mamba (16) of Gundvwini was reported missing after he was last seen wearing school uniform comprising of a white shirt and a grey trouser. The police requested for the public’s assistance in locating the minor schoolboy. On October 21, the police sought for the public’s assistance in locating Takitsi Dlamini (15) of Nkanini, who went missing from home at around 5:30am. Meanwhile, the police extended their appreciation to the public for its continued assistance in locating Jabulane Sandile Mnisi (53) of Hholoshini, who had been missing but was later located.
