Africa-Press – Eswatini. All is ste for this year’s edition of the Swazi Rally.

After two years of not hosting the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event’s organisers have confirmed the Swazi Rally will be held from tomorrow to Sunday.

This was revealed by Swazi Rally Public Relations Officer Banele Dlamini.

Swazi Rally is an international motor cycle event held at Riders Ranch Castle in Sidvokodvo.

The event attracts motoring enthusiasts from mostly Southern Africa and other international countries.

Dlamini stated that they have prepared nothing but an entertaining line-up for all those who would attend. He said they were expecting about 150 bikers today and more to come on the following days.

“The 29th edition will be a memorable one. We are sold out on our pre-sale tickets already. People who were unable to get their pre-sale tickets should not let that discourage them as there will be an entrance fee at the gate of E300,” he said.

Also special about this year’s edition, according to Dlamini, is that there would be one lucky patron who would walk away with a motorbike worth E200 000. He added that everything would go accordingly and promised patrons that they would be going all out.

“We are setting our priorities straight on this one.

The stage has been installed, this was done on Monday. As we speak, tents are being pitched and we are expecting that everything would have been finalised by today,” said Dlamini.

More good news announced by Dlamini was that attendees would not be charged for a cooler box. Dlamini said DJ Lamiez Holworthy and Sibo Pilson of Rise FM form part of the line-up as well as stunt rider Brian Capper. He added that local artists expected to perform are The Bishops, DJ Lady Cream, Sbu Drum DJ and DJ Lady Zee.

He said the Swazi Rally 2022 Merchandise would also be sold at the venue. This consists adults and children’s T-shirts, racer tops, vests, hoodies, buffs, Cuban caps, panel caps, snap backs, beret, bottle opener caps and beanies, amongst other things.

“Drags, drifting, burnouts and more will be on show.
