Africa-Press – Eswatini. Only the sky is the limit for Ayacity whose much anticipated album ‘Rose II’ which was released on all digital streaming platforms.
The artist shared that since the project’s release, it had been racking up impressive numbers on streaming platforms – particularly Apple Music.
He said the project had been listed among the top four albums on Apple Music – not just locally but also globally.
“The response has honestly been great, so far. It was placed on the top four albums on Apple Music worldwide,” he said.
The response to the album has given the artist positive feedback. It has, however, also made it difficult for him to know which song was the fan favourite.
“I cannot say which one is the crowd favourite, or which song people gravitate towards the most. Some love ‘Kulunge Konke’, others like ‘Shwele’ whilst others like ‘Invoice’,” he said.
Looking towards the future, Ayacity stated that he would be releasing music videos as a means of promoting the album further.
He expressed uncertainty, though, concerning which song he would shoot a video for first because all the songs had been appreciated by the listeners.
“As time goes on, I will be doing videos to promote the song. We still do not know which song we will be promoting in this way because it is not just one song that people like. We will still choose more,” he said.
The project featured various vocalists and collaborators such as iAmWigo and Sarnilo.
With the latter, Ayacity stated that the work process flowed despite it being their first time working together.
He added that the artist was particular in her musical approach.
“It was the first time collaborating with Sarnilo and it was good. She is a perfectionist and we would take many days to record songs – just when we thought we were done, she would suggest alterations,” he added.
