Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mbabane Swallows faithfuls must be happy to learn that the problems that had engulfed their favourite club have seemingly been sorted out.
So serious was the situation that the capital city giants were the only club that had not begun pre-season preparations amid the internal problems that threated the once smooth flow of activities, including a delay in the players’ salaries in the recent month.
Latest revelations indicate that the President of the club, Archbishop Bheki Lukhele held a fruitful meeting with the Elders, players, technical bench and the Management Committee on Saturday at the All Nations Church in Zion premises, whereby their differences were ironed out.
Other reports suggest that during the meeting, that lasted a few hours, the president informed the club that they should not panic as he was still in charge.
Renewed
The red and white outfit is expected to engage in its first training session this morning while contracts of some of the players will be renewed this week.
“The president apologised for the delay of the pre-season camp and assured the team that he would give whatever support to the club,” said the source.
Mbabane Swallows PLE Governor Andreas Lukhele confirmed the news when contacted yesterday. “It’s true that the team has resumed training and we will issue a full statement probably tomorrow (today ),” he said.
Meanwhile, some of the players expected to renew their vows with the team are Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu, Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze, Richard MCcreesh, Sandile Hlatshwako, Kingsely Kwayki, Kingu Pemba and Vukile Khumalo to mention but a few.
Coaches Musa Manyatsi, Etienne Massoye and Maxwell Ramelho will put pen to paper after their contracts also elapsed last season.
