Africa-Press – Eswatini. His Majesty King Mswati III has extended Cabinet ministers’ stay in office by two days.
The extension was announced through a gazette, which was signed by the Attorney General, Sifiso Khumalo, dated September 18, 2023. The extension means that the last day in office for the current Cabinet ministers will be September 27, 2023. On August 8, 2023, a gazette was issued that announced that the Cabinet would be in office until September 25.
“His Majesty King Mswati III has been pleased to extend the continuation of Cabinet ministers in office from September 25, 2023 to September 27, 2023,” reads the gazette. This means Cabinet ministers term of office will be in office until the last day of the campaigning period of the 2023 General Elections. The secondary elections will be held on September 29, 2023.
