Africa-Press – Eswatini. Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu,the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation says it’s not easy to arrest or take action against emaSwati ‘insulting’ the King while outside the country.

The Foreign Affairs Minister was responding to Members of Parliament(MPs) and Senators during a meeting held at the Royal Villas-Ezulwini on Monday, the Legislators expressed serious concerns about individuals using social media to ‘insult’ the King and other high profile people in the country.

“It’s not easy to take action and have them extradited because the countries where they are residing must first agree but, we are trying,”said the Foreign Affairs Minister.

On another note, this publication reported earlier on Monday that, the Mpumalanga High Court dismissed with costs an application filed by the eSwatini seeking to declare that, editor Zweli Martin Dlamini committed terrorism by interviewing members of the pro-democracy Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF).

Acting Judge Johannes Hendrickus Roelofse said, the editor cannot be declared a terrorist without a fair trial.

But the judgement comes after the South African Government refused to arrest and extradite the editor despite consistent requests by the eSwatini undemocratic regime through the Ministry of Justice and that of Foreign Affairs.

Criticizing King Mswati, an absolute Monarch and his undemocratic Government is a criminal offense in eSwatini, citizens or human rights defenders are arrested, tortured or even killed merely for demanding democracy.
