Dlamini Addresses Mps Amid Tinkhundla Challenge

Africa-Press – Eswatini. ”Ngitanikhomba-ke namuhla kutsi nginenkhani mine”, these were the words of Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini inside Parliament on Thursday during the heated debate of his report regarding the ongoing health crisis.

Tension escalated after Tinkhundla Administration Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini told Parliament that, as Cabinet, they were not aware of the Prime Minister’s report as he did not consult them before tabling it in Parliament.

“Mr Speaker, I therefore suggest that, the Prime Minister withdraw this report so that, we can first discuss it in Cabinet before tabling it in Parliament. Thereafter, it would be a Cabinet report but now, it’s not a Cabinet but the Prime Minister’s report”, said the Tinkhundla Minister.

But the Prime Minister vigorously opposed the Tinkhundla Minister, he subsequently told Parliament that, he will deliver the report by force and this was after Members of Parliament(MPs) agreed with Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini.

“Ngitanikhomba-ke namuhla kutsi nginenkhani mine, this report will continue and I am now waiting for questions from the House”, said the PM.

But while the Prime Minister was speaking, the Tinkhundla Minister interjected his statement, urging the House to stop and rule the PM out of order and indeed, MPs stopped the Prime Minister from continuing with the health crisis report.

MPs then reminded the PM that, he can’t suggest that, drugs be procured and delivered by the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA) yet he was once accused of stealing millions of public funds while working as the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the same State Department.
