Africa-Press – Eswatini. Royal Leopard head coach Edwin Matsebula has commended his players following their 3-2 away victory over Centre de Formation de Football Andoharanofosty (CFFA ) on Sunday.

The soft-spoken mentor said he was impressed with his charges’ performance during the CAF champions League preliminary round encounter.

“I would like to thank my players for their effort and work during the match which was a tough contest. This was not an easy match as the opponents were comfortable on the ball and quick on transition.

“We managed to capitalise on their defensive weaknesses as they were slow and punished them with the three goals,” he said.

The former National Under-17 mentor said they were now goingto shift focus on the return leg scheduled for the Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday.

“We won’t be carried away with the first leg win but will plan for the return leg where we still need to work hard,” he said.

Goals from Senzelwe Dlamini, Junior Magagula and Menzi Sithole gave the reigning MTN Premier League champions the vital win against the Islanders.

The police service side is expected to return home tomorrow ahead of the return leg.
