ESWATINI COMMITS TO SADC COOPERATION

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini has once again affirmed it’s commitment to ensure it cooperates with other countries in the SADC region to improve lives of people in this region.

The Eswatini government made this commitment when it took part in the 45th Ordinary Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Heads of State and Government, held in Antananarivo, Madagascar. This summit gathered leaders from SADC member states to deliberate on critical regional issues such as:

– Industrialization

– Agricultural transformation

– Energy transition

– Regional peace and security mechanisms

The Eswatini delegation was led by Thab’sile Mlangeni, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development. The delegation actively engaged with other member states to promote Eswatini’s national development priorities and contribute to the broader regional growth and development agenda.

The Ministry of Economic Planning and Development reaffirmed its commitment to:

– Regional cooperation

– Economic growth

– Food security

– Sustainable development in Eswatini
