Africa-Press – Eswatini. The People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) has sent a message of solidarity to its partner, the African National Congress(ANC) in celebration of the 113th Anniversary.
PUDEMO is eSwatini’s main and largest political party and, a partner of the ANC in promoting democracy in the African continent including eSwatini.
“Our two movements share a bond forged in the crucible of struggle against colonialism,apartheid,and all forms of oppression. This shared history of solidarity reminds us that the fight for justice, equality, and democracy is not a sprint but a marathon-a cause that transcends borders and unites liberation movements across the region”, reads a press statement sent by the political organization.
On another note, PUDEMO said, it was not only the relentless struggle and immense sacrifices of the South African people under the leadership of the ANC in dismantling the apartheid colonial regime that inspired countless others, but also the ANC’s remarkable achievement in creating a united, nonracial,nonsexist, and democratic society.
“PUDEMO takes great pride in the strong bond it has forged with the African National Congress, a relationship cultivated during the challenging days of Apartheid. This alliance has not only fortified PUDEMO but also imparted invaluable political lessons that continue to guide our movement”, reads a statement released by the PUDEMO leadership.
