Africa-Press – Eswatini. Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, the Secretary General of the Royal Eswatini Police Staff Association(REPOSA) was on Saturday morning, blocked by the police and subsequently detained merely for consistently demanding a salary increment for junior cops under Phase two(2).

Sergeant Khumalo who was blocked along the Nhlangano road, was previously threatened by the Police Executive Command to stop demanding a salary increment on behalf of the junior cops and, Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson declined to comment about the matter.

On another note, the State through the Police Executive Command allegedly defied a Supreme Court order, directing Government to pay junior police officers their back-pay under Phase two(2) and further increase salaries for junior members of the law enforcement agency.
