Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe said they will be assisting African countries to have high standard stadiums.
He said it was important that all African countries play their international games at home soils and in-front of their supporters. Motsepe was speaking during a press conference held in Sandton, South Africa attended by the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) President Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane and other CAF members associations Presidents.
He highlighted that there was $1 billion that will be assisting members associations including Eswatini in the next eight years. Eswatini is among the countries with CAF or FIFA approved stadiums.
Motsepe first greeted the members President and gave special greeting to Simelane highlighting that his heart was close to Eswatini following that he did part of his education in the country.
Motsepe was in South Africa to sign another huge sponsorship, entering a partnership deal between the African Global Logistics (AGL) and CAF.
CAF and AGL group signed a partnership, making the global logistics giant the Official Logistics Partner for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026.
“Beyond sporting competitions, this partnership reflects a shared vision: making football a catalyst for sustainable development across the continent,” he said.
