Africa-Press – Eswatini. The construction of the new EswatiniBank branch at Siphofaneni Plaza presents numerous opportunities for local contractors.

The bank, also known as Eswatini Development & Savings Bank, has invited suitably qualified building contractors registered with the Construction Industry Council Category B3 only for the proposed new construction of EswatiniBank Branch at Siphofaneni Plaza. The tender documents are available at the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) and the closing date for all tenders is January 31, 2024. It is required that all prospective tenderers attend a pre-tender site meeting and site visit on January 15, 2024, at Siphofaneni Plaza. Failure to attend will result in disqualification of the tenderer. The cost of attending the meeting shall be at the tenderer’s own expense. It is a requirement that the tenderers should have a CIC registration certificate (Msa-4). The available tenders have been categorised based on the type of works availed through the proposed project.

Ablutions

There is a tender for the construction of the building and the scope of works for the project entails the proposed construction of a EswatiniBank branch at Siphofaneni Plaza. This will include the partitioning of offices using drywall, new ATM positions, ablutions and kitchenette. There is also a tender for heating ventilation and airconditioning (HVAC) installation in the construction of a new Eswatinibank branch. The scope of works entails procurement, installation and commissioning of the Mechanical (HVAC) works in line with the project designs and specifications for; a) Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. This contract is a fixed price contract and the tenderers are to allow for escalation in the rates. There is also an opportunity for electrical contractors as the bank has also invited tenderers from suitably qualified electrical contractors registered with the Construction Industry Council Category E2 only for the electrical installation in the construction of the EswatiniBank branch.

The scope of works for the project entails procurement, installation and commissioning of the electrical services works in line with the project designs and specifications for;

a) Power designs

b) Lighting designs.

Tenderers are invited from suitably qualified building contractors registered with the Construction Industry Council Category MSb-4 for the proposed fire services installation in the construction of the EswatiniBank branch. The scope entails procurement, installation and commissioning of the fire services works in line with the project designs and specifications for:

a) Fire Detection and Alarm System

b) Fire Suppression System (Gas Suppression),

c) Fire Suppression System (Fire Extinguishers, Hydrants and Hose Reel System),

d) Fire and Emergency Signage System.

It is worth noting that the bank currently has 10 branches – Mbabane, Ezulwini, Manzini, Pigg’s Peak, Matsapha, Nhlangano, Matata, Siphofaneni, Siteki and Simunye. The Bank also has numerous Auto Teller Machines (ATMs) and Automated Deposit Teller (ADT) machines across the kingdom.
