Africa-Press – Eswatini. Former top Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric ‘Tower’ Mathoho is eyeing a possible move to the country during the next transfer window.

The ex-Bafana Bafana centre-back revealed that he would love to play in the country since being released by the Soweto giants at the beginning of the current season

He was part of the Chiefs squad featured in the King’s Cup staged at Somhlolo National Stadium. It featured the Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates and two local giants in Royal Leopard and Mbabane Swallows.

‘Tower’ singled out Eswatini as one of his possible destinations to end his career, including Botswana and Lesotho.

“I don’t know if there are teams interested, I’m still waiting for one of the teams to come and sign me.

But I’m patient as the right time will come. I don’t mind travelling to the coast or to the North if I’m going to finish my career in the way that I want. I don’t mind travelling even if it’s Botswana, Swaziland (Eswatini) or Lesotho,” Matoho told Idiski soccer report.

He could join the list of ex-Kaizer Chiefs players who have plied their trade in the country such Junior Khanye, Punch Masenemela, formerly with Malanti Chiefs and Mbabane Highlanders respectively.

Mathoho won several titles with Kaizer Chiefs, such as 2013 and 2015 Premier Soccer League titles and the 2013 and 2014 Nedbank Cup trophies, among others.
