Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mzwakhe Myeni, the fired Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) Lubombo District Chairperson is allegedly considering seeking an audience with King Mswati to apologize, his close sources members have confirmed.
This comes a few days after Myeni told in an interview that he would prefer that the country be led by King Mswati not Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane.
“If I can be given an opportunity to choose between Magawugawu and the King, I can choose the King,” he said in an earlier interview.
Percy Simelane when responding to questions from this publication said even though he was not aware of the move, anyone can arrange to see the King on matters that affects them including registering change of heart.
“I am not aware of any move to that effect.Traditionally anyone can arrange to see the King on matters that affect them ( kwembula ingubo) including registering change of heart with the Ingwenyama,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
Reached for comments on the latest developments, Myeni denied planning to present cows and apologize to the King.
“These are news to me. I have no intention on doing what you’ve mentioned. So I’m shocked that you are bringing such and claiming a family member has said such.Please help in revealing that or those family members who may spew such.After all I do not know of such thing,”said the fired SWALIMO Lubombo District Chairperson.
But close sources told that Myeni wants to apologize to the King.
“He told us that he now wants to apologise to the King because the struggle is ‘dead’, utsi sewutawuphilaphi yena ngoba le-struggle sesifile yena sewufuna kuyotigicita eNkhosini,” said the family member.
On another note Myeni sent a letter of complaint to this publication demanding that the sensitive audio where he allegedly insulted Magawugawu and undermined his wife be released to public.
But SWALIMO President Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane said he was not only in possession of one audio, however, he said he opted not to entertain Mzwakhe Myeni at this juncture.
“I have various audios where he undermined my family including my wife. I am also aware of his plans to apologize to the King as you have just mentioned, but I choose not to entertain him,” said the SWALIMO President.
